happy birthday!!!

A BIG HAPPY 21st to Jessie and Emma.

We celebrated the weekend in style, with a ladies garden tea party, on saturday morning. We had so much fun setting up and ordering cakes and decorations. It was nice to see it all come together. And also that the party was a great success. Everyone made an effort, arriving in their party attire, an elegant hat /fasinator and also bringing along a tea cup and saucer to use during the morning. We then used our teacup and saucers for a game, so that everyone left with a different set then they arrived with. Lots of fun.

last week Keira & Zane and Aloise came over for morning tea. It was fun for us mums and mum to be to catch up and talk, and also for Zane and Sophie to play. Cant wait for Aloise's bubba to come so there is another friend for the kiddies.

gotcha!!

so the other day i got sucked into doing a free photoshoot with Gotcha Photography, i think they were hoping i would spend big on a package (yea right) i collect our free photo in 2 weeks so will see how hard it is then to say no :) Anyway i then went home and decided i would save money and take some nice updated photos of sophie.

what is that?

Was trying to feed Sophie her breakfast this morning, but couldn't keep her attention. She had spotted our fish, and sat watching it for ages!

Another month gone...

Sophie is now 5 months. The past month has gone so fast. She is growing and learning all the time. She is now able to roll over, which she does all the time. Talks non stop and her favourite word at the moment is dada (havent heard her say mum yet, so here's hoping its soon) She has also started eating solids, which she loves! All over she is a happy child, and we are so blessed to have her in our life.

Busselton Family Holidays

We do like to go on Holidays!!!
After coming home on Wed 20th, spending Thursday at home (And also wishing Larissa a happy 20th at the Dome) We left again on Friday to Busselton, where we stayed at Bayview Resort with the Reitsema's.
It was so much fun, the resort was beautiful. We had wonderful cottage with our own rooms and ensuites and a living room/kitchen/laundry inbetween.
We enjoyed the heated pool, and also bike riding inbetween the cottages.
We met together on Friday night at Gary & Judith for a yummy bbq.
Saturday was buffet breakfast together of pancakes, bacon and eggs, yoghurt etc. Then we got to relax for the rest of the day until it was joint dinner time again at Gary & Judith.
Next day was Sunday where we enjoyed the services in Bussleton, and then met at Opa & Oma's Cottage for lots of yummy cakes and coffee.
Then Monday was Oma's 77th Birthday, we all met together to enjoy a wonderful lunch at the Colonial Brewery, with its fab food, and great entertainment.
The weekend was a blast!!

Greenough Family Holiday

What a fun trip. :) We stayed at Greenough Rivermouth Caravan Park.
We got to enjoy the lovely smell of the river mouth every morning :) but then seeing as the beach was just around the corner we would go for a morning session of 'extreme' boogey boarding, come back for lunch, then head out in the afternoon either swimming or 4wdriving.
Chris was finally able to see the full potential of his Navara, as we went 4wdriving on the sand dunes, on the beach and along a trail (which turned out to be a walk trail...whoops) which ended in a soft sanded beach, so we got nicely bogged, let down the tyres and hoped the car would get out. Which it did. Needless to say, after that we stuck to those walk trails.
We also enjoyed some time in Geraldton, enjoying a meal at La Italiano. The Food was subperb. The service was a real let down. We waited 20 min after being seated for menu's, only to be told we couldnt order since the chef was to busy, so after waiting another 30 min, we placed our orders. And then waited, and waited and waited. Our Food then came about 40 min after we had ordered. By then the silverware was looking pretty tasty!!!
We also enjoyed swimming at the Geraldton City Beach, and had lots of fun with Sophie at the Water Park.
