Some updated photos of Sophie, at 14 months.

Dont you just love her face on the first one, its her 'smile' when you ask her to say cheese.

whats been happening...

We have been organising to redo our main bedroom and the office. So Saturday 21st, we painted our bedroom feature wall. RED. I absolutly love this color, and am so happy how it turned out. It was a bit frightening when it first went on, but once left it did darken. Next up is the office, but i think we are going to paint that on a day that is not 37 degrees!!
On Saturday afternoon i had the pleasure of joining a group of girls to celebrate Llewellyn's Hens Arvo/night! We had to dress in black (the bride in white) and adorn our heads with wigs. It was really fun, seeing what everyone chose. We rode in style in a red limo. Ate a delcious dinner together and then danced the night away. Below are a few photos, i will try and get the rest of my phone at a later date (if i can find the cable )
Also Sophie has finally mastered the art of walking!!! She has been walking for a few weeks, but it was only one afternoon, and the next day she was back to crawling. But the last week, she has gotten faster at walking, and i think has now realized that its a better option, and hasnt turned back. She now knows a few words, and will copy us when we talk or copy our dancing. Her little personality really shines through, and she is defintly becoming more of a toddler then a baby every day.

Fonty's Pool

From Wednesday 29th-Monday 2nd Chris, Sophie & I joined the family at Fontys Pool, Manijump for a camping holiday.

Day 1: Left home at 9.30, arrived in manjimup about 1. Since it was wonderful weather, and dad & others had kindly set our tent up, so all we had to do was 'move in', we spent the rest of the afternoon swimming.

Day 2: Was a 38 degree day, so we headed to the pool about 9 in the morning and we stayed there all day. It was so nice to just laze around, swim, play games.

Day 3: RAIN! we couldnt believe it, rain after such a sunny day yesterday. But it was nice for those who had recieved sunburns. Our family headed into town for a delicious cafe breakfast. Afterwards Dad, Jessie, Emma, Chris & Sophie headed back to camp while Mum, Megan and myself did some shopping/browsing around Manjimp. The rest of the afternoon was spent playing games. And a few daring ones went for a icy cold swim when the sun appeared.

Day 4: Still raining, and was a little chilly. We spent the day, lazing around, playing games and bike riding. It was also new years, so all 30 + headed to the campers kitchen after dinner and enjoyed a night of olliebollein, singing around the guitar and laughs.

Day 5: Still raining! We had our morning church service in a hall lead by Mr. Hart. The rest of the day was spent playing more games (we were getting quite good at it now) Saying goodbye to some campers as they headed back to Perth. That night we had some fun with the camera and sparklers.

Day 6: Hometime. We had a nice morning, slowly packing away. We left about 10.30 when sophie was due her morning sleep. She slept all the way to Donnybrook. Where we met Tilly for lunch. We even had to wait for Sophie to wake up! Sophie/We had a quick play on the big apple playground, then headed off home. We made it home around 3 oclock.

It was such a nice relaxing holiday.

A new year

Happy New Year, everybody.

I hope that you all have had a wonderful holiday and are looking forward to what is in store for us all in 2012.

We look forward to many exciting events; friends getting married, friends having babies etc etc. Sophie growing up into her own little person and all the milestones ahead of her.

Also in about 7 weeks will be embarking to Chris' homeland 'TASMANIA' for a 3 week holiday with our Hidding family.

I have not yet been, so am a little nervous and extrememly excited at this wonderul opportunity that God has granted us, to see where Chris grew up, and to view all the landmarks that his family talks about.

We (the family) have created a blog, that hopefully we can keep up to date with photos and what we are doing.

So stop on by and follow us Tassie Tourers. I will also try to upload photos and stories from time to time aswell.
