in the kitchen..

All things sweet and im there! (lucky ive been playing netball, to counteract all those yummy treats)

this blog is amazing!:
raspberricupcakes.com

I have so many favorite recipe's of hers; like her selfsaucing chocolate pudding! or a few weeks ago i made her brown butter waffles and no churn blueberry icecream! The waffles were so fluffy and the icecream was the best to accompany it! oh and last week i made her purple ombre cake with sprinkles!!
Yummo!

I also made these delicious melting moments, they are great without the icing imbetween, and some choc chip biscuits for our Ward event.

And these, these are my new favorite caramel treat. Caramel cups basically your average caramel slice recipe, but in a muffin tray. So they end up tasting like pods!! so so good, and hard to stop at 1.

I tried my hand at arancini balls - never having made risotto before either, i was impressed how easy it is!

Sadly i didnt take any photos of these cooking adventures. To busy eating them :)
Next time i will try too.

AQWA

We celebrated 4 wonderful years of marriage, by taking the kids to AQWA!
They had a blast, ok so did I! Love AQWA. Really opens your eyes, as to what is all out there, and how magnificent God's creation truly is!
Sophie loved pointing out all the different creatures. She thought it was wonderful to see the bubbles (jellyfish) in a massive tank. She talked to the turdle (turtle) for a little while. Wasnt to keen on putting her hands in the petting tank, so mummy + daddy had fun touching the sting ray instead.
Both kids were in awe in the massive tank. Sophie was a little unsure of the sharks at first. She kept repeating "not scary mummy?" to me. I think she was just making sure, that they were not going to swim out to her.
We also happened to be there at feeding time for the tank animals, and the scuba diver feeder kindly fed the animals right where we were, even bringing the turtles right up to Sophie, so that was pretty cool!

We ended the day by going to sizzlers for dinner.
Sophie loved choosing different things, although she only wanted to eat rock melon and pasta. And drank so much red fizzy!! And boy you should have seen her face, when she got to choose some ice cream.. with sprinkles!!!

Isaiah was just happy watching people, or chomping on some fruit.

It was a truly special day, and we thank God for giving us these 4 wonderful years together as husband and wife. And for blessing us richly with 2 darling children.

8 months

 Major Cute

our little man.
We are so happy to have him in our lives
He is always smiling, and making us laugh.
Went for a quick pop into the health nurse to get him weighed. 7.56 kg. Will have to book an appointment to make sure he has reached all other milestones, but for now i am happy.

Not much has changed this month.
I am still feeding him, he still sleeps from 6.30pm-6am BUT he has started waking even more during the night!! He has turned me into a mombie (hehe, get it a mummy zombie) He was always having a 10pm and 1 am feed, but lately he's feeding every 2 hours over night. It like having a newborn all over again! Here's hoping its just a growth spurt and its over soon!
Loves to crawl everywhere. And is getting super fast!
Loves to crawl really fast for Sophie's sofa and then throw himself at it. Cute to see him being a little roughy!
Trying new foods weekly, not found anything he wont eat, so that's great.
Says dada
Learning to wave, will get his hand in the air and move it once, then forgets what is happening and fingers go into his mouth!

(he would probably hate me if he knew :D )
I was taking photos, for this 8 month post, and thought should put him with the Tonka truck. See how much he has grown next to it. But, alas Isaiah was not impressed about this!
Yet, i still find it cute!

7 months

just realized i have forgotten to do a 7 month post, so i will reflect on the month been and try to remember all that has happened.

Isaiah has been rocking on all fours for a few months now, and then decided that no he wouldn't be normal and do crawling properly but instead command/slither on the floor to get to places.
Then after spending both services in creche one Sunday, he decided that it was much simpler to crawl, and off he went. I think it may have something to do with the fact that there was carpet in creche, (good grip) whereas we have lino, and its slippery.
But yes, our baby is now crawling at the age of 7 months!
He gets faster everyday, and absolutely loves chasing his big sister around the house.

He loves his food! Mouth open wide like a little bird, waiting for the next mouthful!
Still terrible at drinking from a bottle, so ive decided to just leave him with a sippy cup and hopefully he will get some water in that way.

2 beautiful little toothy pegs are getting taller daily, and are very sharp if your fingers get to close!
