Princess is 1
On Sunday 28th November 2010 at 8.04am we welcomed our daughter 'Sophie Eleanor' into the world. At just 7 pounds and 50 cm this tiny bundle of joy was a blessing from God. Now a year later she celebrates her First birthday. Today she is a healthy cheeky little miss, at 9.03kg and 77.5 cm tall (yes VERY tall for her age) she keeps us on her toes and has the funniest personality.
It is amazing to look over the past year and see how far she has come from the dependant baby who needed our attention 24/7 to the independant princess she is today.
A few milestones to remember:
-Sleeping through the night from 7 weeks, but stopped that at 5 months. (not very nice) but now from 9 months she has been sleeping through.YAY!
- Started teething at 4 months. First 2 bottom teeth at 5.5 months. And now at 1 year has 8 teeth (4 top/4 bottom)
- Rolling at 4.5 months
- Starting solids at 4.5 months
- Sitting at 6 months
- Crawling at 7.5 months
- Furniture walking at 9 months
- Stood alone (only a handful of times) at 11.5 months
- Now says a few words: ma, dada, wassat (while pointing) teddy
She continues to bring a smile to those who meet her and often has us laughing just by being so cheeky.
We look forward to what the future may hold for us and Sophie. We know that it is God who continues to guide our paths, and we thank Him daily for what He has blessed us with.

a DIY project
So i started making some tissue pomanders for Sophie's 1st birthday party. It was really easy, and they look pretty neat too.
STEP 1: cut tissue paper to size you want. I had about 8 sheets on top of eachother.
Then make an accordian fold and tie a string around the middle.

Step 2: Cut the edges round, to give a 'fluffier' effect.
