9 months..

Sophie has now reached the 9 months mark! She is still our happy lil bunny. Getting faster at crawling every day, and always trying to pull herself up on furniture but gets rather frustrated at being stuck 'up.' At our last health nurse vist she weighed a healthy 8.1 kg. She is also getting the hang of waving, which we find very amusing. Sophie also just got a top tooth through and about 3 more on the way, so she is a source of endless dribble.

Sophie absolutely loves to read (think she got that from me) and its quite nice that she just turns the pages instead of eating the books.

Last week Friday (12th august) my parents babysat Sophie (overnight as well!) so that Chris and I could enjoy a wonderful dinner/night out and a lovely sleep in. We ate at the Atrium, such a nice place to go!

Crawling

Sophie has finally reached that magical and long awaited for milestone of CRAWLING!! she has for some time done one or two 'crawl steps' but then always reverted to her commando sliding to get somewhere. BUT last night after coaching her with my shoes she decided that normal crawling was much more effecient and hasnt looked back. We did capture it on film, so ill try and figure out how to upload it (what this space!) The only downside i guess is now we have to baby proof our house, becuase this morning after leaving her with her toys, she quitely made her way into the kitchen to play with the spice rack. :D

We went to Miss Mauds for mums birthday. Was a lovely night out with delicious food and great company. It also ended very excitably when mum and dad's ticket wouldnt let them out of the parking lot, so after first trying to race after our car and boom gate landing on the bonnet, then tryin to squeeze next to the gate and finally escaping by us reversing into the entrance 'getting a new ticket' and then parents racing out before gate could get them... Just wondering what the security video viewers are going to think. :D
